October Big Band Workshop Weekend

Dan Mar-Molinero – Two Day Big Band Workshop 28th/29th October 2017

Durlston Court School, Barton On Sea, Hampshire.

This two day Big Band workshop will focus on improving your section playing, improvising in a Big Band setting, directing a Big Band and much more. Two day course including refreshments and a hot lunch £135.

There will be a Jam Session locally on the Saturday night, all welcome (free). Venue to be announced.

Dan currently lectures in Jazz & Pop at the University of Southampton and is a prolific composer and arranger. We will be playing a number of Dan’s arrangements as well as other contemporary and classic Big Band scores. We met Dan whilst working with the Taverners Big Band leading up to “Stompin’ on the Quomps” and were impressed by his extensive knowledge of all things Big Band. His insights and wisdom brought a fresh new sound to even a well established band. Dan will be assisted by James Rawlinson, local Saxophonist, band leader and teacher. Interested?
