Andy Scott Manchester Saxophone Weekend

Andy Scott Manchester Saxophone Weekend, 12th and 13th February 2022

Hallé at St Michaels, 36-38 George Leigh Street, Ancoats, Manchester, M4 5DG

On 12th and 13th February 2022 – JazzSmart hosts a two day saxophone weekend, that is aimed equally at classical and jazz saxophonists, led by Andy Scott, assisted by James Rawlinson & Andrew Blee.

“I’d like to thank all of you that have been a part of our JazzSmart Manchester Weekend over the past five years. Very quickly a sense of community and shared goals evolved, and the spirit of the weekend is one of intense learning, swapping ideas, lots of saxophone playing of course, and teamwork. It’s a lot of fun as well and a great opportunity to catch up with, make new friends and create music with like-minded saxophonists. Age and experience aren’t the important factors here, everyone is welcome, you simply need to be passionate about music!

Andrew & James are both fantastic musicians and with JazzSmart have created an organisation that is both respected and imaginative. Between the three of us we ensure that you are comfortable musically and really enjoy our weekend together.

Speaking personally, it is going to be so good to reconvene and make music together, I can’t wait!! Meanwhile stay safe and well and I look forward to working with you!”
